First and only edition of this strange fantastical work, in which the protagonist, on a fly fishing trip, discovers a tunnel and descends to an other world full of strange creatures, here carefully drawn and mimeographed. Sammy Sampson was born in Helena, Montana, but in 1939 moved to Portland, Oregon, where he worked as worked as a scriptwriter for a radio station and as a material expeditor for the Oregon Shipbuilding Corporation. This work was written when the author was about 21. In 1944 Sampson enlisted in the army, and was transferred to Texas, where he died of gunshot wounds in camp while awaiting a medical discharge due to a lung ailment.
