Mendocino County: Moving On, c. 1970. 8vo, pp, saddle-stapled in illustrated wraps. Centerfold illustration on goldenrod paper and several internal drawings by Paul Reps. Two internal illustrations hand-colored.
A remarkable ecological manifesto collage text, the unnamed author's voice interpolated with quotes, press clippings, comics etc, including reference to Michael McClure. Much of the graphic work is by Paul Reps, leading us to suspect that he either authored or was closely involved with the production of this unusual tract. The only other standalone title we know of that the publisher issued was a work by Paul Reps, entitled Back Breathing: A Wonderful Way to You, and this work also includes a section on duration breathing exercises, as well as a shout out to Toronto's Haiku magazine, all Reps territory.
As rare as it is mysterious. OCLC locates only a single holding of the book.
Sale price rubberstamp to cover, some toning to extremities else very good. Item #30817
