A Guide to Good Metaphysical Books [with] The Introduction to the Kabalah Denudata [with] Society of the Inner Light Study Course [with] Spiritualism in the Light of Occult Science
np: nd. 4to, the three works each mimeographed from typescript and ringbound into commercial black folder with mounted typewritten title to cover, with the exception of the Mathers, which is a typescript. Provenance: from the collection of NASA scientist Ralph Donaldson.
A fascinating collection of occult works. The most mysterious of these is the first, A Guide to Good Metaphysical Books, by Manly P. Hall. The title page states that it is the text of a lecture, here published by Robert Coe Gardner under the Universal Studies Forum imprint. It is a wide-ranging essay on rare occult books, 35 pp. in length, with the last 7 pp. being lists of recommended works. We can find no record of this essay being published, curiously enough.
Mathers' Introduction to the Kabalah Denudata appears to be a copy of the original of book completely typed out by hand, including the tables. The Society of the Inner Light Study Course is mimeographed on slightly smaller paper stock, as is Spiritualism in the Light of Occult Science.
Paper toned, with some scattered marginal wear, but very good.
The first title is published by the "Universal Studies Forum" in San Francisco, and is dated 1952. The three other books bear no imprint or date. Item #30654
