np: Abyss Publications, 1970. First edition. 8vo, 17 pp, saddle-stapled wraps. Illustrated with reproductions of computer printouts.
First and only edition of this important, but not widely known publication by the editor of the Something Else Press on the use of computers in conceptual art, specifically involving FORTRAN programming. It includes documentation of Higgins' work with James Tenney on their work Hank and Mary, and Tenney's realization of Alison Knowles' work Proposition no. 2 for Emmett Williams. A scarce early work on computer programming and the avant-garde.
A clean, very good example, with some toning to margins of wraps.
Some slight smudging to the wraps else fine. Item #30592
