The first volume was retitled Secret Memoirs of a French Royal Mistress in 1927, under which title it probably saw better sales. Scarcer in this version, which was only produced for that three year period.
1" closed year to front wrap of vol. 1 at head of spine, wraps faded, especially at margins, but a very good set. Item #30475
