The rare first edition of this prescient and powerful photobook which explores the Lady of the Woods mythology. The photographs not only explore the tension between nature and conflicted senses of belonging, but also derive a great power from the sheer tactility of the images and the tension between textures in the images. The book received a wider attention after being reprinted by The Journal in 2013.
A sharp, fine example in a dust jacket that has a 1/2" closed tear to upper margin of front panel which has been discretely repaired with archival tape at verso, else fine. Item #30329
