Girard, Kansas: Haldeman-Julius Company, 1928. 32mo, saddle-stapled blue-green wraps. Gibbs 1288, the only noted printing.
The bulk of the book is taken up with the titular essay, first delivered by Haldeman-Julius as a lecture given to the Chicago City Social Club. Appended are two shorter essays, The Soul of Man and The Bunk Box - the latter short text begins with an attack on the Spiritualist periodical Reason, and a swipe at the astrological periodical Instantaneous Aspectarian.
Very good with toning, fading to wraps, and a light bump to one tip. Item #30242
