New York: Lorenz Gude, 1964. First edition. Foolscap, mimeographed from typescript, side-stapled in card covers, the front ilustrated by Joe Brainard. Collated and complete according to Birmingham.
Sixth issue of the central periodical of the second generation of the New York School of Poets. With a superb cover by Joe Brainard, who also contributes his one page essay on Andy Warhol. Other contributors include Ted Berrigan, Dick Gallup, Gerard Malanga, Kenward Elmslie, Kenneth Koch et al.
A worn example, a bit battered, complete but with the final leaf detached and chipped with some marginal loss not affecting text, and staining. A gouge to the back cover causes a hole to the last three leaves, but not affecting text. Issues of C were quite bulky and fragile for their size, and complete copies are somewhat scarce in any condition. Item #30200
