Dancing With You
Amsterdam: In-Out Press, 1973. First edition. 8vo, 30 pp [double leaves], side-stapled in appropriated and rubberstamped covers and backed in black cloth tape. Mimeographed from typescript, with rubberstamping to each page. First edition, one of 100 numbered copies.
Among the artist's earliest, and rarest artist books, published while he was in residence at the In-Out Center. The text is a series of mimeographed dance instructions, each rubberstamped with one of 7 different dance names; waltz, quickstep, Rumba, Cha-Cha-Cha, Jive, Tango, and Slow Foxtrot. A playful tribute to an unnamed dance partner, an identity which the reader joyfully assumes for the duration of reading.
Wrappers very faintly toned, with a short nick to upper wrap, else fine.
