Renewal: New Forms of Protest. April / May 1967

Chicago: Renewal, 1967. 4to, 24 pp. including wraps.

Single issue of the magazine, which was published from 1961-1970. This is a remarkable issue, including an early and very unusual appearance by Fluxus artist Geoff Hendricks, entitled "Sky / Why?", a 3 pp. text on his billboard experiments printing several text proposals. This issue also includes a photostory by Ben Reade entitled "The Demonic Protest of the Bread and Puppet Theater," a six page series of great photographs on the group. Also, the editor's essay on the infamous "Sweep-In" Action on the Lower East Side of NYC, spear-headed by Bob Fass.

Vertical fold throughout, with some fxing and a small ink number written to cover. Good only, but complete. Item #30023

Price: $45.00
