and matching curtains too!
Kent, UK: Paul Buck, 1972. First edition. 4to, 40pp, mimeographed from typescript and side-stapled into an offset printed cover sheet.
Special issue of the surrealist little mag, devoted to the memory of the then recently deceased Mark Hyatt. Curtains was one of the foremost British avant-garde little magazine of the 70’s. A remarkably sustained project distinguished by the innovative use of the mimeograph, unified design sense, and a far-ranging list of contributors, an index of which would serve as a great guide to some of the most interesting poetry and prose of the decade, especially by lesser known authors. Curtains also did a great deal to introduce hitherto unknown French writers in English translation.
This issue includes work by Keith Waldrop. Jeff Nuttall, Peter Riley, Glenda George, Larry Eigner, Paul Matthews, Alexis Lykiard, Rosmarie Hilton, Michael Haslam, Jeremy Hilton, and Mark Hyatt.
A clean, fine, bright example with some very faint indenting from mimeo stack. Item #29900
