Internationale Situationniste nos. 1-12 [Complete]

Paris: Internationale Situationniste, 1958-1969. First editions. 8vo, each issue saddle-stapled in metallic wraps.

All issues published of the main organ of the SI, with the rarely seen first edition of the second number. The fragile foil covers used on this number largely perished in the printing process, and the issue was not generally distributed until it was reset and reiussed four years later with minor differences in design and typography.

The reflective covers of the journal was the only element of the periodical which remained constant across the issues. The reflective covers were not a casual design decisions, but were produced with great expense and occasional peril, exemplified by the heatpocked and cover of the second issue present here, though this example is one of the better ones we've seen, with the title and number still clearly readable.

A hall of mirrors still being reckoned with.

Generally very good set with signs of wear, including creasing - especially to the covers of nos. 7 and 9 -mrubbing, more pronounced on the later issues, and bumping to extremities. Item #29205
