[New York]: The Fugs, [c. 1965]. 4to, two 8 1/2 x 11" sheets stapled once at the upper left hand corner. The first sheet is offset printed, and illustrated with a photomontage attributed to "Charro Pozo," the second sheet is mimeographed from typescript.
An early promotional leaflet issued by the band, likely issued around 1965 or early '66 - their Carnegie Hall performance of September 1965 is referred to as a recent appearance. The text describeds the majesty of the group and solicits bookings, urging readers to contact the band via Ed Sanders at his Peace Eye Bookstore.
The photomontage which graces the cover is attribnuted to "Charro Pozo", likely a pseudonym, and is somewhat similar to the collage work of Claude Pelieu.
A fair only copy, folded once, with a shopping and to do list filling the unprinted verso of the second sheet. Rare. Item #29169
