A rare complete run of this Scandinavian artists' little mag, which was one of the primary publications relating to Surrealism in 1930's Scandinavia. It was edited by the Surrealist painter Vilhelm Bjerke-Petersen, who had studied under Paul Klee and Wassily Kandinsky at Bauhaus Dessau. Bjerke-Petersen's book Surrealismen, published in the year prior to the beginning of Konkretion, of which it can be considered a continuation, is credited as being the main conduit of knowledge surrounding Surrealism into Scandinavia. This publication was the successor to his early little magazine Linien.

The third number is a special issue devoted to English Art. The final double number is devoted to Surrealism in Paris, and includes a foreward by André Breton.

With work by or about André Breton, Marcel Duchamp, Man Ray, Maurice Henry, Paul Eluard, Gisèle Prassinos, Yves Tanguy, Benjamin Péret, Gui Rosey, Hans Bellmer, Jindrich Styrsky, Herbert Read, Carl V. Petersen, Paul Signac, Karen Holtsmark, Kandinsky, Hans Arp, Tauber Arp, Man Ray, Max Ernst, Kai Fjell, Magritte, Salvador Dali, Axel Olson, David Gascoyne, Geoffrey Grigson, Hugh Gordon Porteus, Wyndham Lewis, Ben Nicholson, John Piper, Tristram Hillier, Barbara Hepworth, Sven Jonson, Stellan Mörner, Erik Olson et al.

The first four numbers are very good, with toning, creasing, and moderate wear. The text block of the final issue is detached from the wraps, and has a stain affecting the lower margin of approximately half the pages to a depth of not more than 1", but is complete. Item #29127
