Washington DC: 1969. Twenty 3 1/4 x 4 1/2" black and white snapshots. With trifold booklet entitled "Bring All the GIs Home Now!"
A striking collection of snapshots which we believe to be from the November 15 March based on the inclusion of an SMC booklet for the March, and by comparison with published photographs. The March was part of the series of actions known as the Moratorium to End the War in Vietnam, which grew out of Jerome Grossman's call for a general strike if the war had not concluded by October of that year. A half million people participated in the Washington March, which became a watershed moment in mobilizing popular resistance to the war.
Very good with minor curling and creasing to several of the snapshots, some of them strong. The booklet is toned at extremities, with old cellotape to upper margin, else very good. Item #28935
