London: Sigma, [c. 1964]. 14 1/4 x 23 1/2" poster, folded to 8 1/4 x 11 3/4". Offset litho in two colors. "Sigma 11" lightly written in pencil to cover.
A poster prospectus for the Fun Palace, issued as an installment of Alexander Trocchi's Sigma Portfolio. Fun Palace was a project envisioned by Joan Littlewood and Cedric Price for a ludic play structure for the working class in East London. Though the project remains as yet unrealized, it remains one of the more provocative architectural proposals of the decade.
Rare. One of the more elusive issues of Sigma.
Slight loss to lower margin. Very good. Item #28927
