The special, limited edition, one of only 40 copies bound in spray-painted linen over boards, with an original image spray-painted by the artist. With booklet laid into a card folder inside front cover printing the artists' superb text on the genesis of these images and his use of stencils.

A remarkable artist book produced by Ehrenberg using stencils, a medium perfectly suited towards Ehrenberg's remarkable grasp of repetition, pop culture and visual storytelling.

"Reiteration is conducive to holiness... for this book (which, like many other codices, should ldeally be read like a detective novel) I have laid out my best beloved stencils. With these I seek to offer a viewers various clues that you may unravel the wondrous and dramative events surrounding the life of this artist, another witness to the end of a century. This wortk is also intended to serve as a musical score, perhaps to be composed by someone wishing to recreate tghe bvackground music of our daily histories. The cutting of a paper stencil is like the soldering of a golden filigree." - The artist, from the booklet.

In a footnote to the text Ehrenberg notes that this was the second visual score that he composed, but the first to be published. The first was unpublished due to flood.

A near fine exampke with light bumping to the head and foot of spine, with some minor traces of soiling to the cloth. The booklet shows some creasing and is very good. Item #28750
