Girard, Kansas: Haldeman-Julius, 1924. 32mo, saddle-stapled in pale green wraps printed in black. Cp bears a date of 1924. Illustrated with drawings.
Herts is best known for his work in film and as a playright - he wrote a Female of the Species and Grand Slam - but he was the son of B. H. Herts, the designer who furnished the interiors at the Knickerbocker Hotel, The Hotel Regence, and the New York Produce Exchange. In the foreward he addresses the need for such a little tome to counteract the large, expensive books in the field.
One of the scarcer books in the series.
Chipping with a little loss to the fore edge of the front wrap, with some toning, but a very good example of one of the scarcer titles in the series. Item #28742
