Radical Software Vol. 2, No. 5. Video and Environment

New York: Gordon & Breach, 1973. First edition. 4to, 66 pp, saddle-stapled wraps.

Radical Software - one of the most important periodicals of the 1970's - focused upon video art and other new media in art, theory, and activism, and sought to explore these new technologies away from corporate control and broadcast media. Under this ambitious program they covered a remarkable diversity of topics, including art, social movements and networks, ecological concerns, anthropology, information science, education, architecture, and more.

This issue contains much work by Juan Downey, Ira Schneider, and Frank Gillette, pictured on the cover with others. There are also contributions by Enrique Castro-Cid, Ned Bobkoff, David Ross, Andrew Horowitz (his article 'Domestic Communications Satellites", John Dobkins, James Harithas, Andy Mann and more.

A very scarce issue of the periodical.

Very good with some creasing and toning to wraps.
