Los Angeles: Students of Fairfax High School, 1941. First edition. 8vo, 125 pp, printed wraps.
The literary magazine of Fairfax High School, notable this year for containing four poems by a young Jack Spicer - barring other juvenilia, certainly some of his earliest work in print. Even this early, his poetic stance and voice are quite distinctive - you know you are reading a Spicer poem even two lines in.
Numerous inscriptions from classmates to the former owner of the magazine, some minor dampstaining to the fore edge of the first few leaves, creasing and some nicks to the yapped wraps. About very good. Item #28339
