Kissing Doesn't Kill: Greed and Indifference Do.

The postcard that was the first of two parts of the group's Public Information project, perhaps their most visible action during the AIDS crisis. The recto of the card is printed with a photograph by Aldo Hernandez which detourn's a well-known fashon advertising campaign at the time. The back is printed with the statement "Corporate Greed, Government inaction, and Public Indifference Make AIDS a Political Crisis." The second part of the project took the form of large scale posters using the image, which were plastered on NYC buses, taking the work outside of the private circulation of the postcards into the public sphere.
