The catalog for the important 1969 exhibition, the first US museum exhibition to focus on Land Art. The show was conceived of by Willoughby Sharp, who also contributes a text. The catalog was published the year following the show. The site-specific works were installed with the help of students at the college, including Gordon-Matta Clark and Louise Lawler. Most of the artists' were present for the installation, though Smithson was unable to attend due to inclement weather and phoned instructions for installation in.
