New York: Floating Bear, 1961. 4to, six sheets mimeographed from typescript on both recto and verso and stapled once at the upper left hand corner.
One of the scarcest and most infamous issues of the periodical, which was censored by the post office due to the provocations homo-erotic and otherwise of the contributions by Leroi Jones - an excerpt from The System of Dante's Hell - and William S. Burroughs, the text Roosevelt After Inauguration, following the seizure by the FBI of a copy mailed to the incarcerated Harold Carrington. The issue also includes work by Philip Whalen.
An unfolded example, showing only some faint toning to margins, else fine. Rare. Item #27110
