[East Village]: c. 1966. 4to, 37 leaves printed on rectos only, laid into a manila envelope with the title and author rubberstamped in black. Lacking the Dylan Liberation Front position paper found in some copies, but with Weberman's one page foreward, with a single holograph correction as issued.
The infamous A. J. Weberman bootleg edition of Bob Dylan's novel, copied directly from the galley proofs of the unreleased book and distributed by Weberman in the East Village. This edition was preceded only by the mythological Albion Press edition from '65, which was produced in an edition of only 50 copies. This edition contains Weberman's brilliant foreward for the book, in which he, among other things, makes an open appeal to secure a sample of Dylan's urine.
Zimmerman was the recipient of a Nobel Prize for literature in 2016, and is also a musician and songwriter.
Contents lightly foxed at edges, else near fine. Folder with some minor soiling and toning, but very good. Item #27090
