What to Look for in a Book - Physically

New York: Something Else Press, 1965. First edition. 12mo, [12] pp, saddle-stapled wraps. Illustrated with photographs of artists, all save that of Ray Johnson by Peter Moore.

The preface to this catalog is an early, and key work written by Dick Higgins on the physical issues of printing and issuing artists' books in the 1960's, by a man that issued probably the most influential, accessible and affordable series of artists' books of the era.

A bright, fine example still housed in the original printed envelope from the press, and scarce thus. The envelope is opened roughly, with some short tears to margins, but very good. Item #26700
