New York: Ace Books, 1953. First edition. 12mo, wraps. Bound dos à dos with Maurice Helbrant's Narcotic Agent.
The first edition of Burroughs' first novel. Poet, publisher and musician Dan Lauffer's copy, who helped the book's distribution and so many other publications of the underground in NYC by stocking at the CCNY bookstore, and bought a copy for himself.
Paper rather toned at margins, with some minor reading creases and a bit of rubbing toe extremities, but otherwise a sound, tight and very good or better copy, with an uncreased spine, sound binding and vivid wraps. Item #26639
