Amsterdam: Impuls Boek, 1981. Second printing. Small 4to, unpaginated. Photographically illustrated wraps. Profusely illustrated with black and white photographs. Text in Dutch.
Little known but superb photobook documenting the massive late 1981 anti-nuclear protest in Amsterdam, which numbered - by police estimates - a half million people, and even included 300 uniformed members of the Dutch Army. The photographs by Frank Greiner do a superb job, not only of capturing the diversity of the crowd, and the remarkable range of expressions, from sadness to joy, but also of documenting the posters, signs, and ephemera used in the protest, much of it directed against Reagan and the US. Recommended.
