Folk Singers Unite! Help Trample the Forces of Oppression & Bigotry

New York: [Folklore Center], nd [c. late 1960's]. 8 1/2 x 11", mimeographed on blue paper.

Poster calling for this project "to bring the joys of Folk Music to the people in underprivileged areas throughout the city." The flyer proposes the first foray to be in the South Bronx. The project was likely based out of the Folklore Center, as it lists Israel "Izzy" Young as a supporter (as well as Rev. Howard Moody of Judson Memorial Church), and directs interested parties to the bulletin board at 110 MacDougal Street.

Toned at upper margins, with a strong crease and some faint soiling, a worn good only example but rare. Item #26255
