San Franciso: [c. 1984]. 8 1/2 x 11", original xerox in b/w.
A flyer advertising a show and event at Club Foot by The Institute for Pragmatic Malice, a short-lived and obscure project. The only documentation we can find is a short review by Murray Bowles in Maximumrocknroll 12, which notes that the project attempted to put on shows that upended or broadened the relatively tradition performer / audience dynamic of punk shows using a variety of strategies – making the bands pay expenses and letting people in for free, passing out snacks and having chairs, and making shows more multi-media. The events were held at the San Francisco artist-run space Club Foot, which ended in 1985 – the year after these shows were held. This show featured Charle Arsenal, Lennonburger, Max Volume's Legion of Doom, The Part Time Christian's, Mortician's for Peace, and School Prayer. Item #26198
