Detroit: [White Panther Party], . 8 1/2 x 11" broadside, mimeographed from typescript on recto only.
A broadside issuedas protest against the CIA raid of the White Panther House on June 22, 1970. After a poem by Anderson, the broadside announces a "PAPER RADIO PAPER RADPAPER RADIO PAPER RADIO PAPER RADIO PAPER RADIO NEWS FLASH!", and describes the events. The use of the broadside as an immediate conduit for communication, as well as the design of the broadside is very reminiscent of some of the early flyers by the Diggers and Communication Company.
Folded into fourths, and heavily toned, thus good or a bit better, but rare. The only example we've seen, and unrecorded in OCLC. Item #26139
