New York: Film Culture, 1956. First edition. 4to, saddle-stapled wraps.
A rare early issue of the long-running publication, not just the most important film journal in America during the post-war period, but a periodical that would also incorporate related arts into it's scope, especially with those issues which were designed by artists associated with Fluxus, pop, and other avant-garde movements.
This issue includes a cover reproducing a diagram by King Vidor, from War and Peace, as well as contributions from Andrew Sarris, Enno Patalas, Nestor Almendros (on the cinema in Cuba), Guido Aristarco, George N. Fenin, Eugene Archer, Arlene Croce, et al.
Near fine with some faint rubbing and a tiny nick to back cover.
Near fine. Early issues such as this are scarce. Item #26004
