Paris: Le Musee de Poche, 1961. First edition. 8 x 16 1/2 x 8" sheet, offset printed on recto only on coated paper stock.

Announcement in French and English for a show of paintings by the beat-affiliated American poet and gestural painter at Le musee de Poche/The Pocket Museum at & rue de l'Odeon in Paris. Morris was a fixture of the Greenwich Village scene in the late 1950s, associated with Hugh Romney (Wavy Gravy) and photographed by Fred McDarrah. Illustrated with photos of artist creating his action paintings, throwing paint, painting and rolling a tractor tire, etc. Unusual documentation of a very early happening.

Machine folded three times for mailing, with additional creasing and indents, about very good. Item #25870
