Camarades, l'usine Sud Aviation de Nantes étant occupée...

Paris: Comite d'occupation de la Sorbonne, 1968. 8 1/4 x 10 5/8", mimeographed from typescript on watermarked "BFK Reeves Extra Strong" paper.

A tract issued at 3:30 PM, May 16, 1968, calling for the occupation of all factories in France and the formation of worker's councils following the occupation of the Sud Aviation factory and other factories across France. The Sorbonne Occupation Committee had been formed three days prior, on May 13, following the withdrawal of police from the Latin Quarter. Despite the brevity and diminuitive appearance of the tract, it is one of the key documents of the events of May 1968, laying the groundwork for the formation of the CMDO by the committee the very next evening.

The tract is transcribed in Vienet [Vienet, p. 265] and is the first tract included in Section II, devoted to the tracts issued jointly by the CMDO and Situationist International.

Folded twice, with additional handling creases, very good. Item #25550
