[Salem, OR]: c. early 1940's. Three albums, all spiral or string bound in boards.
Three beautifully assembled photo album scrapbooks documenting the activities of a named Drum Majorette who attended Willamette University. One of the albums bears the date 1941. The albums present tipped in photographs, many of them trimmed to figure, news clippings related to the creator and also related to Drum Majorette news items, and, inside the front cover of one album, an amazing collage incorporating a magazine or news clipping, fabric, and feather, with a movable part. Almost all of the pages related to Drum Majorettes.
One of the albums is only 1/3 full, and one is about half full. Approximately 95 pages across the three albums have pasted or tipped in material, sometimes with many items on a page. The albums do not appear to have been rifled, but there is evidence of some things having fallen out or removed, and some items have glue stains. Item #25411
