All issues published of this early postwar little magazine devoted to poetry, prose, and art, and edited by Maclaine - who would go on to become one of the most important, if least acclaimed experimental filmmakers of his time.
The first issue reproduces photo-collages by Bern Porter, and paintings by Jordan Belson, as well as poetry by the editor and Jack Spicer, Robert Duncan, Philip Lamantia, Chrisrambo et al.
The second issue reproduces three b/w plates of paintings by John Manfredi, and poems by james Schevill, Kenneth Rexroth, Harry honig, Ericka Baum, Kenneth Patchen, Denise Levertov et al.
The third issue includes reproductions of paintings by Basil Marros and Patricia Northrup Harris, and poetry by Rosalie Moore, Kenneth Rexroth, Kenneth Ford, Adele Levi et al. as well as the first publication by Charles Brittin, long before his photography work and assocation with the Semina Circle.
The penultimate issue features poetry by Patchen, Philip Lamantia, Cid Corman et al.
Very good to near fine, with previous owner's bookmark inside front cover of no. 3, and some creasing to the yapped wraps of the final number. Item #24165
