Paris: Le Mouvement Surrealiste, 1956. First edition. 8 1/2 x 11”, printed on recto only on handmade, speckled brown paper.

Surrealist tract protesting the recent election of 52 members of the Poujadiste movement, accusing them of  fascism, and drawing attention to the war in Algeria and the fate of Algerians in France. Signed in plate by 19 members of the party; Anne Bedouin, Robert Benayoun, Andre Breton, Jacques Broute, Adrien Dax, Charles Flamand, Georges Goldfayn, Louis Janover, Alain Joubert, Gerard Legrand, Nora Mitrani, Benjamin Peret, Jose Pierre, Andre Pieyre de Mandiargues, Jacques Sautes, Jean Schuster, Jacques Senelier, Jean-Claude Silbermann, and Jean Claude Tertrais, followed with a note stating that Charles Estienne was in support of the text.

One of the most important political tracts of the party during the decade, superbly typeset and designed. Duruzoi p. 579. Biro & Passeron p. 407 (pictured).
