L’affaire de “L’Age D’Or”. Louis and Paul Eluard Aragon.

L’affaire de “L’Age D’Or”

Paris: 1931. Single sheet folded once. Lacking the photographically illustrated leaf designed by Breton which was originally laid in. Published in early January of 1931, this tract, authored by Aragon and Eluard, addressed the reception of the film, and more specifically the attack by fascists a month previous, on December 3, in which the Ligue des Patriotes stormed Studio 28 during a screening, threw ink at the screen and assaulted viewers, and subsequently destroyed artworks hanging in the lobby (including works by Man Ray, Miro, and Tanguy).
