New York: Lorenz & Ellen Gude, 1964. First edition. Foolscap, mimeographed, stapled wraps. Cover by Joe Brainard.
Single issue of the little magazine, which was of of primary importance to the formation of the second New York School. This issue is notable for including a cover and five prefatory pages of art, mostly serial images, by Joe Brainard - some of his most beautiful magazine work. The most beautiful issue of C, and indeed of any little mag of the era.
A fair only copy, with the cover battered, toned and soiled, with a three-inch chip to left margin along stapled edge, not affecting image, with lower staples missing. Battered, but complete and scarce thus. Item #20323
