Curated by Phillips and published in conjunction with the 1990 exhibition of the same name, which mined the remarkable crossovers and similarities between commercial heavy metal and the commercial gallery art scene to great effect - draw what conclusions you will. Most eye catching is the Vik Muniz contribution, a stapled in multiple consisting of a packet of anti-aging pills and bee pollen. The pills have gotten sort of nasty now, a bit cracked and aged, like most things that were shiny in the 90's. This issue is notable for a lengthy 6 pp. interview with the late John Balance of Coil, in which he discusses his magical beliefs and influences at some length. Also, two pages devoted to Rudolf Schwarzkogler, with a full page reproduction as well as instructions for a couple of happenings. There is also a good interview with HNAS on the eve of their first studio release Melchior, and material on or by The Waking Room, Pacific 231, Zahgurim, & Gerechtigkeits. 4to. [12] pp. [including covers]. Striking and mysterious zine out of Brighton. Illustrated entirely by collage with cultural references to Manson, the death of Marilyn Monroe, and similar topics. One of the most striking early 80's zines we've seen, but one that we have been able to find little about. Includes ads by Bianchi Maurizio and the mundane club. OCLC locates no copies.

A Situationist zine devoted to a long commentary on the contradictions of Dada and the control of art production by the bourgeouise. The final leaf concludes with a piece on Punk and Dada and the limited recourses available for the first wave punk bands after punk was coopted by the mainstream, noting the breakup of the Sex Pistols, and going rather easy on the Clash. As the author speaks approvingly of the direction that Generation X were taking at the time of the article, we assume this to have been issued around 1979, before they devolved. An important document with an eye towards the confluence of Dada, punk and Situationism at the time.
