Division Leap is a rare bookstore and gallery located in the St. Johns neighborhood of Portland, Oregon. Since 2005 we've specialized in the research, preservation and placement of archives, art, ephemera, books, and artifacts relating to the struggles of art and social movements for a better world in the 20th century and onward.
In the last ten years we've held exhibitions and published books and catalogs devoted to regional punk scenes, zines, the Mimeograph Revolution, student movements of the 60's, Situationism, graffiti, scrapbooks and vernacular photography, hoboes, and prison photography. Forthcoming projects include co-publishing the hobo graffiti zine Fifth Goal and publications on squatting and Letterism. We irregularly issue print and electronic catalogs. For more information, or if you would like to be added to our mailing list, please feel free to get in touch.
We are members of the Antiquarian Booksellers Association of America (ABAA) and the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB). We welcome visitors to our premises in St. Johns by appointment.
